In order to achieve the objectives defined in our Statutes, the German TV Platform sets up dedicated working groups whose specific focal points are derived from recent innovations, new standards, and current market developments. The conglomerate expertise, which is due, in particular, to the interdisciplinary composition of these working groups, is an important and precious asset of this organization. In a constructive collaboration, solution proposals and scenarios are developed and discussed in these groups, and the foundations for technological, economic, or political decisions by the relevant national bodies and institutions are laid.
The working groups are instituted by the General Assembly and coordinated by the Executive Board. There are currently three active working groups within the German TV Platform:

The public relations work of the German TV Platform is closely linked to the working groups. Apart from this website with unbiased technical and technological information as well as our press releases, the regular publication of our TV Zukunft magazine (in German only) forms a key element of our PR. Experts in the working groups develop topical material for trade and consumers. In addition, the German TV Platform organizes press conferences on special occasions, takes a stand in position papers, participates in industry gatherings and trade shows, and organizes events of its own. One of the highlights is the German TV Platform’s annual symposium: Starting in 1991, the German TV Platform has since hosted around a two dozen of these symposiums (overview).
