ANGA COM \u2022 June 3\u20135, 2025 in Cologne<\/p>\n

The DTVP with Stand and Strategy Panel at ANGA COM 2025<\/h2>\n

As in previous years, the DTVP was represented together with the ZVEI at ANGA COM in Cologne: with its own stand on the exhibition boulevard and a full program over three exhibition days. Members, industry colleagues, and numerous media used the format for direct exchange.<\/p>\n

The focus was on a diverse congress program, including the DTVP’s strategy panel: “Data-driven Advertisement for Streaming and TV.” Under the moderation of Dr. J\u00f6rn Krieger, Nicole Agudo Berbel, J\u00f6rg Meyer, Michael Radelsberger, Tim Sewell, and Frank Vogel discussed in front of a full auditorium.<\/p>\n

Also in 2026, the DTVP will again be represented with its own stand and strategy panel at ANGA COM.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

MIP#6 \u2022 2023 in Berlin<\/p>\n

Talking about a (R)Evolution.<\/h2>\n
\n

The sixth Media Innovation Platform 2023 was dedicated to the question that was reshaping the industry at the time: How far does the transition from Broadcast to Broadband go, and when does evolution turn into revolution? A day with top-tier discussions along the entire value chain: content providers, platforms, manufacturers.<\/p>\n

The congress was complemented by a mini-exhibition, where DVB-I, HbbTV Targeted Advertising, Media over QUIC, the HbbTV Operator App, and FAST Channels were showcased in live demos \u2014 with contributions from Fraunhofer FOKUS, HD PLUS, and Zattoo.<\/p>\n

Three years later, the MIP returns. With a new focus but the same methodology: a day of intensive strategy and practical work under one roof.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

General Meeting & Summer Lounge 2025 \u2022 July 10, 2025 in Berlin<\/p>\n

35 Years of DTVP, a Farewell.<\/h2>\n
\n

Above the rooftops of Berlin, an era came to an end in July 2025. Carine Chardon took the microphone for the last time as Managing Director of the DTVP. After 17 years, she moved to GFU. Around 80 guests from media and consumer electronics attended the farewell, including five of the seven chairpersons from 35 years of the association’s history and two founding members.<\/p>\n

During the day, the DTVP met for the regular general meeting with reports from the working groups and strategy updates. In the evening, the traditional Summer Lounge celebrated what is rarely celebrated: the continuity of an association that has been shaping the standards of the German media landscape since 1990.<\/p>\n

In 2026, the DTVP, now under the management of Nicole Ludwig, invites again to the Berlin double-day: at Amazon in the Edge East Side Tower and in the BRLO Beer Garden in Sch\u00f6neberg.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

16th Plugfest \u2022 October 6\u201310, 2025 in Berlin<\/p>\n

13 Countries, 200 Test Sessions.<\/h2>\n
\n

Over 30 companies from Germany, Belgium, China, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Spain, Turkey, UK, and the USA \u2014 the 16th edition of the Plugfest at Fraunhofer FOKUS was the most successful of the series so far. In around 200 test sessions over five days, developer teams tested the interoperability of new TV applications.<\/p>\n

In use: Smart TVs, set-top boxes, and HDMI test devices close to market maturity, along with content offerings from private and public broadcasters. Test focuses for 2025: HbbTV functionalities, accessibility, DVB-I services, HDMI interoperability, and sound checks for immersive audio.<\/p>\n

In 2026, the Plugfest will again open its doors at Fraunhofer FOKUS \u2014 from October 12 to 16.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

Working Groups 2025<\/p>\n

What happens between the events.<\/h2>\n

While the events shape the DTVP year outwardly, the association does most of its work behind the scenes: in the three working groups Media over IP, Smart Media, and Ultra HD. In 2025, the working groups met regularly for work sessions, along with task force meetings on DVB-I and accessibility. The result: concrete industry documents, including the implementation profile for DVB-I.

\r\nThose who sit at the table help shape the standards that later influence smart TVs, streaming platforms, and distribution channels. That is membership in the DTVP \u2014 not just a membership list, but a working format.<\/p>\n
