General Meeting & Summer Lounge 2026

A year full of milestones, a look ahead, and a convivial finale.
This year, the DTVP General Meeting convened high above the Spree, on the 17th floor of the Edge East Side Tower, hosted by AWS. DTVP rounded off the evening together with many guests at the Summer Lounge in the beer garden, with craft beer, grilled food, and lively professional exchange late into the night.

Kick-off

An eventful year for DTVP.

On the 17th floor of the Edge East Side Tower in Berlin-Friedrichshain, with sweeping views over the Spree, Chairwoman Nicole Agudo Berbel welcomed the members to this year’s meeting. The host was AWS. Agudo looked back on an eventful year that has changed and strengthened DTVP.

DTVP highlights in review

Relocation of the office In 2025, the DTVP office moved into the premises of GFU Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH, centrally located on Bockenheimer Landstraße in Frankfurt am Main.
Most successful Plugfest to date. In cooperation with the HbbTV Association, the Digital TV Group, and Fraunhofer FOKUS, participants from more than 30 companies came together for over 200 test sessions.
35 years of DTVP On November 2, 2025, Deutsche TV-Plattform celebrated its 35th anniversary, three and a half decades as an important platform for the industry.
Change in management On December 1, 2025, Carine Lea Chardon handed over management to Nicole Ludwig, a change that marks both continuity and a new beginning.
DVB-I Implementation Profile With the DVB-I Implementation Profile for the German-speaking market, DTVP has created an important foundation for the future of program distribution.
New brand design In 2026, DTVP is appearing with a fundamentally renewed brand design, a fresher presence for an established industry network.

In his keynote, Chris Ziemer, Sub-Industry Leader, Broadcasting & Streaming at Amazon Web Services (AWS), provided an overview of the broadcast and streaming industry in Europe and presented the role of AWS for the European media industry.

The content portion concluded with reports from the working groups and task forces, which finalized key industry documents in 2026. The meeting also elected Mathias Ihrig as a new auditor.

Summer Lounge

Together with many guests, the members rounded off the day at the Summer Lounge in the BRLO beer garden, with craft beer and grilled food, at the foosball table, and deep in conversation late into the night.
