AI for TV and Streaming: Best Practices for Greater Efficiency and New Value Creation

Following the keynote by Dr. Joachim Köhler (Fraunhofer IAIS), four industry representatives discussed, moderated by Dr. Jörn Krieger, where AI is already having an impact in media companies today. The moderator set the framework right at the start: no visions of the future, no theoretical scenarios, but concrete applications in the here and now.

Nicole Agudo Berbel, Chairwoman of the DTVP and CDO of Seven.One Entertainment Group, highlighted concrete practice: the recommendation engine at Joyn, personalized FAST channels, and the AI assistant “Joyce,” which answers user questions. “Today, these services are hardly conceivable without AI anymore.”
