The entire value chain. At one table.

The members of the DTVP represent the entire ecosystem of digital television and have only one goal: to provide a perfect media experience – for all content, on all devices, at any time, in any place.

This works smoothly when everyone pulls together: the different levels communicate within the DTVP about standards, interfaces, and new technologies before they reach the market.

The DTVP creates the neutral space for analysis, exchange, and joint solutions.

The framework of our work is described by the association’s statutes:

  1. Promotion of industry dialogue
  2. Information about European research and development projects
  3. Promotion of the introduction of new systems in the German-speaking area
  4. Conducting analyses and studies
  5. Informing the (specialist) public

OUR STRENGTHS

Unique

Broadcasters, streaming platforms, device manufacturers, infrastructure operators, service providers, research institutes, and federal authorities – over 50 members from almost all areas of the media industry. This breadth is unique in the DACH region.

Substantial.

Before standards become mainstream, we develop white papers, use cases, implementation profiles, or specifications. HDTV, HbbTV, Ultra HD, or DVB-I – whenever a new media technology is introduced, the DTVP is involved.

Active.

Diverse exchange formats for our members, with experts and decision-makers, enable valuable contacts at the working and management level. Regular congress and trade fair participation create awareness for the DTVP and its members beyond the association’s borders.
