Plugfest Berlin 2026
Europe’s central interoperability event for hybrid TV technology.
The annual Plugfest of the Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP) and the Digital Television Group (DTG), in cooperation with HbbTV, is Europe’s most concentrated test hub for the hybrid TV and streaming world. Device manufacturers, broadcasters, platform operators, and research institutions test under one roof what would otherwise only go wrong in real-world conditions.
Over five days, two events at the same location: the DTVP and DTG Plugfest (Mon–Wed, October 12–14) and the HbbTV Testing Event of the HbbTV Association (Wed–Fri, October 14–16).

Five days, two events, one test hub.
In 2026, the focus will be on: HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio, and DVB-I, as well as UHD HDR tests via HDMI®. Participants bring hardware and software that are close to market readiness and test interoperability in slot-based sessions with other manufacturers.
The Plugfest (October 12–14) is aimed at device manufacturers, broadcasters, platform operators, technology providers, research institutions, and standardization bodies. The HbbTV Testing Event (October 14–16) is reserved for HbbTV members and serves to validate the next HbbTV Test Suite.
The event is a purely hands-on working format — observers are not admitted; every participant brings devices, content, or implementations for testing.
