Inclusion, Language & Data Protection
Openness is not a given. For us, it is.
Inclusion as an Attitude
How DTVP handles attitude, language, and responsibility.
DTVP stands for openness — in technology, in collaboration, and in interaction. We thrive on the diversity of our members: different companies, perspectives, and expertise working together on the future of television. Openness and equality are not a given, but an active decision we make anew every day in our committees, events, and daily collaboration with over 50 member organizations from all areas of the media industry.
Our language
We know that language expresses attitude and we take that seriously. We consciously choose the generic masculine for readability and language flow, not against inclusion. All personal designations in our texts naturally apply to all genders and identities. Anyone who does not immediately recognize themselves in our language is expressly welcome at DTVP — as a member, partner, or interlocutor.
Accessibility
This website is designed according to the principles of digital accessibility. Because accessibility is not a marginal issue for DTVP: In our working groups, we actively accompany the implementation of accessibility standards in broadcasting, such as within the framework of the European Accessibility Act and the DVB-I specifications. What is demanded by the industry is also a matter of course for DTVP.
Privacy
The protection of personal data is a genuine concern for us — not a mandatory program. We only collect the data we really need, store it exclusively on German servers, and do not pass on any personal data. Our website complies with the requirements of the GDPR. Transparency is just as important as security. All details are governed by our [Privacy Notice].
Nicole Ludwig, Managing Director of DTVP“Openness, accessibility, and data protection are not checkboxes for us — but part of how we understand collaboration.”
