Brand Relaunch for Brand, Logo, and Website

Press Release

Deutsche TV-Plattform Repositions Itself

Frankfurt/Main, May 18, 2026

Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP) is opening a new chapter in its history with a comprehensive brand relaunch. At ANGA COM 2026, its completely redesigned public presence will go “live” with a new brand, new logo, and new website. The new DTVP brand consists of five building blocks. Together, they form a system that tells a consistent story from the website to the trade fair booth while still leaving room for diversity.

Nicole Ludwig, Managing Director of DTVP, explains:

“It was time to change DTVP’s graphic identity extensively and fundamentally. With its more than 50 members from all areas of the TV value chain and its diverse working groups, DTVP does outstanding specialist work, but our public presence could no longer tell this story credibly. With the graphic relaunch, we are getting a brand that is as dynamic as the industry it represents.”

Nicole Ludwig, Managing Director of DTVP

From “Deutsche TV-Plattform” to “DTVP”

The first step toward the new brand is the decision to appear and communicate as “DTVP” in the future. This not only serves internationalization; it also detaches the brand from traditional linear television and opens it up to today’s entire media spectrum. The new wordmark makes this visible: a geometric, broad lettering that radiates confidence. The wordmark is memorable and distinctive, while the ligature it contains, connecting the letters T and V, preserves the reference to the organization’s history.

Designed as a fluid wordmark and figurative mark, “DTVP” connects all stakeholders of Deutsche TV-Plattform – broadcasters, platforms, regulators, researchers, device manufacturers, and developers. A central ring as a platform, surrounded by open circular arcs that approach one another but never close. The graphic system remains open: new activities and topics can thus be added and integrated at any time. Overall, the symbol is deliberately not static; it changes its colors depending on the context.

Primary and accent colors of DTVP

Guiding Colors and Eye-Catcher

Two primary colors carry the brand: signal pink as the guiding color and eye-catcher, cyan as its counterpart. Three complementary colors – lime, amber, violet – bring diversity to the figurative mark and differentiate working groups, events, and publications. All five colors are optimized for dark backgrounds: the natural habitat of a media technology brand. Nevertheless, the color palette is designed so that signal pink and violet also work as text on white backgrounds. Cyan, lime, and amber are used on white as surfaces, icons, and buttons. The logo loses none of its impact; it essentially just changes the stage.

Each variant combines two or three of the five accent colors – depending on the context and place of use. This creates a distinct visual signature for each working group, event, and publication without losing recognizability. The form remains; the color tells the respective context. Each working group and each DTVP event receives its own configuration. On the website it can move, as a favicon it marks the browser bar, and on social media it works as a recognizable avatar. Together with the wordmark, this creates a logo that not only claims convergence but also visibly demonstrates it through its design.

Wordmark with Claim

Last but not least, a claim line is added to the wordmark: beneath the wordmark, it is a flexible slot and not a fixed component of the logo. By default, “Deutsche TV-Plattform” appears there as a name supplement. Depending on the context, however, this line can be used freely: for working groups, events, campaigns, or a claim. The logo remains the same; the line tells the respective occasion with its own corresponding color configuration. This means conferences, working groups, or events under the same logo and the same wordmark are nevertheless recognizable as independent appearances.

Premiere at ANGA COM

On the occasion of ANGA COM, Europe’s leading congress trade fair for broadband, media, and connectivity, taking place from May 19 to 21, 2026 in Cologne, the new DTVP brand will make its first public appearance. At the same time, the website will go live and all required templates and applications will be available.
The creative implementation of the DTVP brand relaunch was carried out under the leadership of the communications agency Bolditalic in close collaboration with the DTVP office.
