Simply.TV is a new member of the DTVP

The DTVP (Deutsche TV-Plattform) has a new member in Simply.TV. “Simply.TV is a European provider of TV and streaming metadata that combines AI-powered automation with editorial expertise. Founded in Copenhagen in 2019, the company is active on more than 300 platforms in over 50 countries – including leading TV brands in the DACH market.”

Streaming continues to gain importance
The German-speaking television market is currently undergoing one of the most profound transformation processes in decades – with streaming becoming increasingly important. Comprehensive, well-structured metadata – including precise EPG data, contextual keywords, and program markers accurate to the second – is gaining in importance. In addition, the use of artificial intelligence is having a lasting impact on the TV and streaming landscape. In order to understand these changes on the one hand and actively help shape them on the other, the work of the DTVP and its working groups is of great importance across the entire digital television ecosystem.
To this end, the DTVP offers a wide range of exchange formats for members and interested parties with subject-matter experts and decision-makers. They enable valuable contacts at both working and management levels. In addition to the working groups, these include industry events and participation in trade fairs and conferences.
Following the DTVP General Assembly on June 24, 2026, at which the new member Simply.TV will be introduced, the MEDIA INNOVATION PLATFORM #7 (MIP) will take place in Berlin the following day, June 25, 2026. The now seventh edition of this format is dedicated to a topic that is currently reshaping the industry: “AI as a Game Changer: Efficiency & Value Creation in TV & Streaming”.
